'Food Family Portraits' is a personal project I created during the pandemic, a time when commercial work had understandably slowed down. As an artist, I have always loved shooting portraits, and as a commercial photographer, I specialize in still life and food. This series allowed me to bring both of those worlds together in a playful and creative way! Each image features a 'family' of fruits or vegetables, carefully arranged within a grid, showcasing variations of the same produce in different shapes, colours, and forms. I handled every aspect of the project myself; from concept and styling to photography and retouching. It turned into a true labor of love and patience, especially on the styling front, which I thoroughly enjoyed. In 2022, I turned this series into a calendar, which was incredibly well received-a small personal project that found its own success story!
